iTunes makes it simple to restore your device from backup and you can follow the below steps to make it. If your backup is an encrypted backup, your encryption backup password will be needed. If you forgot it, you need to recover iTunes backup password in advance.

  • Step 1. Open iTunes and connect iPhone to computer with USB cable.
  • Step 2. If a message requires you to unlock your device, Trust This Computer or something else, just follow it.
  • Step 3. After your device is recognized by iTunes, click your iPhone icon.

Before we start, please make sure you have a recent iCloud backup to restore.

Step 1. Go to Apps & Data on your iPhone and choose “Restore from iCloud Backup”.

Step 3. After log into your iCloud, you will see a list of available backups, then choose one you want to restore.

Note: Please bear in mind that restoring from iTunes/iCloud require you to erase your device. And if your device is already used for a long time and has many newly-created data, the two methods are not recommended.
